As you shop for a portrait studio, there's more involved than simply comparing prices.

Check with friends and family who you know had portraits taken in a professional studio recently. Ask them where their portrait was created. Ask them about their experience.

Look in the "Yellow Pages" and on the Internet for studios in your area.

If at all possible, visit two or three portrait studios in your area and look at their samples. As you begin to compare the quality and style from one studio to the next, you will find that not all professional portrait studios are created equal.

Just because a photographer refers to herself or himself as a "professional photographer" doesn't mean they produce truly professional quality portraits.

Take the time to really look at their samples. Some photographers display portraits specifically made to impress visitors but their everyday work is not as good.

(the samples you see in our studio and here on our web site are our everyday work)

We use digital retouching which enables us to soften or remove wrinkles,

remove blemishes, moles, scars and even braces.

Ask the photographer how long he or she keeps the images they've created on file. A true professional portrait studio will keep the negatives and/or digital images from your portrait session on file indefinitely unless they suffer a catastrophe.

Our negative files date back to 1927!

At Photography by the Browns, we believe once you've compared our quality and prices with other professional portrait studios in the area, you will find we are the better value.

We look forward to serving you!
